According to the officials, two of the militants were encountered in the clash with the security forces in Anantnag district, Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday.
The encounter occurred near Halkan Gali in the changes-Larnoo area of south Kashmir.

Army’s Statement
The Army said a joint operation was launched on Saturday here at Halkan Gali in Anantnag.

Details are awaited, according to the officials, as the operation is still ongoing.
One more encounter is currently ongoing in the Khanyar area of Srinagar. Officials say no causality has been reported as yet.
As reported by the news, the police and the security forces had started this operation with specific inputs on militants held up in that region. The encounter continues at present. A downtown Srinagar-based city witnessed a sudden encounter this morning when there was an encounter between the militants and the security forces in the Khanyar area when a cordon-and-search operation was on.
The operation was undertaken on a tip-off and a video of the episode has been captured wherein a drone was seen hovering over what appears to be the alleged hideout.
This was the second attack that day following the Sunday evening when two non-local laborers from Uttar Pradesh were targeted. They were injured and remain hospitalized.

Earlier in the day, a clash occurred between the security forces and terrorists in the Khanyar area of Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.
