Currently, a large-scale counter- terror operation is being undertaken across Jammu and Kashmir targeting fresh terror groups. Security forces have been able to successfully neutralize a terror group that was formed recently and was causing damage to security forces.
The group’s major operation has been subdued and its power has been lowered to a great extent. This comes from elevated threats in the area, especially about terrorist activities.
The operation involving several security elements was conducted after receiving information pointing at the formation and work of this group. The quick and efficient action has culminated in the release of commanders and the destruction of the arms, ammunition, and communication gadgets that the militants in question utilize.
Authorities have also understood some activities of the group and members, which are very important information that will be useful in future counter-terrorism.

A newly formed terrorism group Tehreek Labaik Ya Muslim (TLM) was neutralized today in a series of crackdowns in several districts of Jammu and Kashmir. The Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) wing of the J&K Police conducted the anti-terror raids with the authorities stating that TLM is a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) affiliate being run in the vicinity of a Pakistani handler with the nickname ‘Baba Hamas’.
Part of 35-hour operation Srinagar City including District Ganderbal Bandipora District Kulgam Budgam District Anantnag and Pulwama districts. They said the primary aim was to incapacitate a recruitment sub-group within the TLM which is currently recruiting young men for militant operations. The group is also said to be responsible for near-daily recruitment in the past few months.
The operation was carried out shortly after a terrorist attack in the Ganderbal district of the state where seven people were killed. The Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said that two foreign militants were behind the Ganderbal attack and they could have infiltrated the Bandipora district in North Kashmir.
Operation’s Overview in Jammu and Kashmir
A massive search operation against the terrorists is being conducted now in Jammu & Kashmir where new groups are cropping up. Carried out based on specific tips, the action plan is to eliminate the emerging menace of a new terror group that has recently formed.
Police forces and Indian Army as well as JK police specialized and other paramilitary forces conducted a series of operations to nullify the organization’s structures.
